Engraving
The process of engraving was always a hand craft requiring the highest dexterity and skill often accumulated over decades. The modern process of engraving is now highly automated and considerably cheaper. Digital Frames Direct have all our customised digital photo frames engraved done by a local partner who has over 150 years of engraving experience and who only specialise in engraving. The quality of their work is absolutely outstanding and there is no doubt that a well engraved logo on digital photo frame can give a quality of presentation way beyond that of a screen print.

The tools shown are typical of the sort of implement that has been used for centuries to embellish metal work but this skill is a dying art which is being replaced by automation and technology.
These tools have largely been replaced by Laser Engraving and Laser Etching Machines. Laser Engraving concentrates the laser at the appropriate position to cut the surface and, of course, all of these machines are computer controlled to engrave the appropriate design accurately and repetitively.

Our Lumina range of Digital Photo Frames and Digital Picture frames are ideal for engraving because they have a high quality brushed metal fascia. The Lumina range consists of the Lumina Photo digital photo frame that plays photographs and slideshows with a remote control and our Lumina that plays photos, videos and music and also has a remote control.
Laser Etching/Engraving can also be very effective on the clear acrylic surround of a Digital Photo Frame as well as on the metal fascia.
